Today marks a special day in the history of HopeTown. We held our first funeral in our HopeTown base. The house was packed with people from all sorts of life in Ocean View and many tears were flowing. Our dear team member lost his daughter very suddenly. To rally around him and serve him as a HopeTown family was a deep experience. But in all the grief and sadness, we experienced Gods presence. He is the hope we need in our lives to serve people and to look forward. I often think that a funeral can connect people deeply and fresh life can grow out of it.
