I love flowers in all shapes and colors. When I took this picture yesterday, I felt God is speaking to me. How I look at situations it always depends on my perspective. I can see the beauty of the flower what blooms - or I can see the withering process of the dying flower on the ground. It depends on my attitude what I want to see. I am reminded of a quote I read a while ago: "What we do see depends mainly on what we look for. ... In the same field the farmer will notice the crop, the geologists the fossils, botanists the flowers, artists the colouring, sportmen the cover for the game. Though we may all look at the same things, it does not all follow that we should see them." (John Lubbock, The Beauties of Nature and the Wonders of the World We Live in). What I am looking for in different situations? What do I want to find if I analyze a situation? God is a God who wants to open up our eyes for the bigger picture to find the beauty in it.
