When I took this picture in Cape Town last week, I was reminded how difficult it is to be vulnerable... we rather pass it and move on. There is nothing more powerful then to be vulnerable and transparent in times of trouble. Can we handle it? Are we afraid of it? Do we walk on and rather concentrate on the "nice" stuff? God is a God who can handle our questions, blames, difficulties, poverty mindsets, prosperity mindsets, fears, disappointments, disagreements and our brokenness. We can't just walk on and not face it. We will miss the ability to grow. Restoration can happen if we allow God to wrestle with us and to activate the ability in us to deal with hard stuff - AND to stay with us in the pain. Vulnerability is good - even we feel naked and shameful. It is a place where identity can grow and beauty can rise.
