God is faithful and at work! This truth still applies in difficult times! I took this picture this afternoon in my beloved community! It shows smiling young people and looks joyful. You can't see the other side of their lives, the hardship and their sadness. Are we ready to be exposed to the unseen and frustrating parts of life? By the way... it is similar in leadership and ministry. To be disappointed in leadership is normal! We all know it happens, but if it happens we are good in covering up. We don't like the feelings and would love to tell everybody only the good stories. But it is part of our reality and part of a leaders journey! Never only tell the good stories or if you already conquered the mountain! It will only be half of the truth!

We need to have the comfort zone to be true and honest and share our frustrations! We need the arms around us to hug us when we feel sad. Do we have people around us who are listening to us and feel with us? If not- search them. I learned to look out for people who take the time to listen to me and have emphathy for what we are going through. Those people are like a hot tea on a cold winter night or a pocket lamp in the dark tunnel. Precious! Yes, God is faithful and at work. In and around me.
